AFFIDAVITS, TRANSLATIONS AND CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES

In the federal and various provinces nominating immigration materials, sometimes it is necessary to sign in the face of the oath officer, we have a legal commissioner.

Affidavits

Common affidavits categories are:

1. The cohabitation relationship was sworn, and both parties were sworn in for one year and maintained a cohabitation relationship.
2. The guardian swears that the guardian is present to agree to take care of the child and handle urgent matters during the designated child’s study abroad.
3. The immigration materials swear that the applicant makes a solemn commitment to the factual part of the immigration materials.
4. The court materials swear that in the immigration judicial review, the applicant makes a statement on the factual part of the appeal material.

Translations

Applicants need to translate the materials themselves, and we will issue an oath of translation after checking.
The federal government recognizes translation materials prepared by a third person who has no relative relationship with the applicant. However, some provincial nominations are not recognized. For example, Ontario only recognizes the translation of the Ontario Translation Association (ATIO) or domestic notary, and Quebec has similar regulations.

Certified True Copies

Sometimes the immigration department will ask the applicant to submit a certified copy, and the commissioner will test that the copy is the same as the original.
The certified copy will include the name, position, file name, and date of the oath of the oath of the oath, stating “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document” and sign it.
