TRANSFER BETWEEN DLIS

In June 2014, the Immigration Department required that a study permit must be enrolled at the designated institution DLI. If you transfer from one DLI to another, you will need to notify the immigration office in your MyCIC account.
The new generation is the first firm to carry out the transfer notification to the immigration office.
We have not observed any serious consequences of not transferring to the Immigration Department, but a complete communication system has been established between the school and the Immigration Bureau. The school is obliged to report the student’s whereabouts to the Immigration Department.
We have cases in which students have been absent from school for a long time and reported to the Immigration Bureau by the school. The Immigration Department then interviewed the students and eventually repatriated. Reporting to the Immigration Bureau truthfully can avoid unnecessary troubles.
The transfer notification immigration bureau is a filing system. There is no refusal to transfer school by the immigration bureau. It can be transferred to the school several times during the validity period of the student visa, and will not affect the validity of the student visa.
Transferring between primary and higher education requires a re-application for a student visa. For example, if you graduate from high school and go to college, or if you don’t read the university and reread high school, you need to apply for a new student. Switching between colleges and universities, or switching between junior college, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees does not require a new student visa, provided that the previous student visa is still valid and the immigration office is notified on time.
