Key Points

To apply for a student visa through a simplified category, students are required to deposit a deposit of 10,000 Canadian dollars to a Canadian bank to obtain a GIC to prove that they can afford the first year’s living expenses. Because direct contact with Canadian banks is inconvenient, these banks have set up some representative offices or cooperative (joint venture) banks overseas to contact applicants.
Because students are usually required to be present and involve sensitive funding issues, we recommend that students contact the bank to purchase.
After the student passes the visa, the GIC funds will be returned to the students 5-6 times in one year, each time returning about 1600-2000 Canadian dollars, the interest is equivalent to the general demand deposit.
If the student visa is denied, you can apply for a one-time refund of GIC funds.
