ALBERTA OPPORTUNITY STREAM
In June 2018, Alberta opted to pursue a new policy: the Alberta opportunity. Applicants are required to hold a work permit and are working legally for an employer in Alberta.
The applicant must hold one of the following two types of work permits:
- Closed work permits, including work permits supported by LMIA and closed work permits exempt from LMIA.
- The post-graduation work permit in the province, but there are requirements for the study project and major, must be undergraduate or above (no professional requirements), or meet the requirements of the 1-2 year certificate, diploma program (with professional requirements), certificate Please refer to this list for professional requirements for diploma programs. Please note that the work must be related to the academic qualifications. If you are studying for a one-year study, you must be related to the academic qualifications before the research and the research.
Language Requirements
- For NOC 0, A or B occupations, language requirements are required to reach CLB level 5.
- For NOC C or D occupations, language requirements are required to reach CLB level 4.
Working time requirement
The project requires applicants to:
- Have 12 months of relevant work experience in Alberta in the past 18 months, or
- Have 24 months of relevant work experience in the past 30 months (within or outside the province, including outside Canada), or
- For the graduates of this province, they only work for 6 months, but they must be related to the majors they are studying. If they are graduate diplomas, they must be related to the majors before the research and research.
