BCPBP: BRITISH COLUMBIA SKILLED IMMIGRATION AND EXPRESS ENTRY
Key points
This article introduces three categories of BC employer sponsorships, including:
- Skilled Worker,
- International Graduate, and
- Entry Level and Semi-skilled.
The central idea is to introduce the employer guarantee system and the scoring system in BC.
- The nursing category and postgraduate category do not need to participate in the scoring. We will introduce another page.
- In addition to low- and medium-tech immigrants who cannot take fast-track, all immigration projects in BC have two options: regular provincial nomination and fast-track. The advantage of regular provincial nomination is that they do not need to enter the federal pool in advance, and the materials are relatively simple.
Advantages of the Express Entry
The Fast Track requires applicants to enter the pool by one of the conditions for federal skilled immigrants, Canadian experienced immigrants, or federal skilled immigrants. After receiving the provincial nomination, BC will add 600 points to the applicant’s pool to ensure an invitation. The advantage of the fast track is that the online application is full, the federal stage is faster, and the same provincial nominated project, the fast track category has a lower invitation score in the BC nomination stage.
Scoring system
After the applicant meets the basic requirements of any of the three categories, it will enter the following scoring system for scoring. In two cases, you can qualify for immigration:
- Reach each invitation score line. The latest invitation score can be found on the official website of the BC government.
- Reach the guaranteed score line, the guaranteed score line is as follows:
Technical workers category: 135 points,
International graduates: 105 points,
Low- and medium-skilled workers: 95 points.
