SASKATCHEWAN: APPLICANT WITH EXISTING WORK PERMIT

Graduates from the province, graduates from other provinces, or other applicants who hold work permits can apply for immigration in Saskatchewan for half a year, but the requirements are slightly different.

Tips about JAL

Saskatchewan’s employer-based immigration program requires employers to apply for approval letters (JAL) in advance for applicants. JAL’s application is not troublesome. The basic requirements are:

  1. Operating for more than one year, operating in Saskatchewan,
  2. The employer is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  3. The median salary reached the local requirement.

Employers may need to provide financial statements, business licenses, tax returns, rental contracts, payroll forms, etc. for applying for JAL. It is recommended to communicate with the employer about the JAL issue before finding a job. If the employer is not willing to cooperate with the application, don’t waste time working for the employer.

Basic Conditions

  • Legally working for Saskatchewan employers for half a year
  • For the graduates of this province, there is no additional requirement for half a year of work experience. It is not related to what you have learned. It is not related to the position of the guarantee. It can be work experience inside or outside the school, or it can be work experience during reading.
  • For graduates from other provinces, work experience must be obtained through a post-graduation work permit, not a secured position, but must be related to what you have learned.
  • For non-graduates, the job required for half a year is the same job provided by the sponsoring employer.
  • Employer sponsorship is required for all categories, that is, there are employers in Saskatchewan who provide permanent, full-time jobs for applicants, applying to JAL, usually requiring NOC 0, A or B occupations
  • For the graduate category, the job requirements provided by the employer are related to what is learned. If the job requires the applicant to have higher education experience, it can also be a NOC C class occupation.
  • For health occupations, farm occupations, or hospitality services, it may also be a C-type occupation, but there are some additional requirements.
  • This program usually has no language requirements, but if it is a C class, applicants need to provide at least CLB level 4 language scores.
  • Graduate category requires graduation from a Canadian higher education institution for at least 8 months, holding a post-graduation work permit
