CANADIAN LANGUAGE BENCHMARKS

The Canadian Federal Immigration Act classifies English and French into 10 levels. Currently, CELPIP, IELTS General Training, TEF and TCF French exams are available at CLB. If there is no special explanation, reaching a certain level of CLB requires the applicant to reach the corresponding level in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
In addition, the immigration system in Quebec is generally not classified according to CLB.

CELPIP – General

It is very simple to calculate the CLB level with the exam, because the score of the exam is CLB level, and the score of 8 is CLB level 8.

IELTS – General

Be sure to remember to take the IELTS General Training (G) instead of the Academic (A) exam.
