FORUM FAQ EXCERPT (3): DOES THE WORK WITHOUT POINTS NEED TO DECLARE AND PROVE?

Question

When the federal submission of materials, spouses need emplyment records, is this a must material (actually not involved in extra points); if it is difficult to get, how to deal with it? Thank you very much!

Answer

The first thing to note is that work experience without extra points must be filled in the form, otherwise it may affect the background and security investigation, which will seriously cause material misrepresentation.
For work experience and qualifications that do not actually add points, you can submit an explanation letter saying that it is difficult to provide and does not affect the score. Our previous case shows that this is effective, and did not make up for these materials later.

Attached letter template:

Dear Visa Officer,

I did not expect that my spouse’s employment records and education degrees are required, since they had no effect on my score. In fact, some of the educational materials are lost and his former employers are hard to reach. In order to submit on time, Those documents are not included in my original application. If you have further requirements, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you very much.
