FORUM FAQ EXCERPT (5): HOW TO GRACEFULLY RENEW THE VISA?
It’s summer season again. The summer vacation is the peak time for students to leave Canada. We are here to remind everyone: To leave Canada, you must plan a big Visa in advance! Every year, because Visa expires at the domestic airport, it is stopped and then we are looking for our students.
Visa can be easily renewed only in Canada. If you leave Canada and the Study Permit expires, you can only go through the process of overseas visas, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. we suggest:
- Renew your big Visa in Canada and leave Canada.
- If you don’t have time, renew your study in Canada, submit your Visa application, and leave Canada.
- If you are still too late, leave Canada after submitting your application for Study Permit in Canada.
Question
The younger brother just graduated and is applying for PGWP (the official website is expected to come down at the end of July). My female ticket is also applying for a student visa (expected in mid-July). Due to personal reasons, I need to leave Canada immediately if I sign the student visa, but Visa is on the verge of expiring. The ticket has to be rushed back to school in September, so I would like to ask how long it takes for the great gods to leave the application in Canada or is there any other way to continue to renew Visa?

There are two ways to continue Visa depending on whether the person applying for Visa is in Canada or abroad.
The first is that people in Canada can apply for Visa online, which is the easiest. Do a questionnaire directly in the MyCIC account, upload the completed IMM5257 form and supporting materials, and leave Canada after submitting. After signing (currently about 10 days after submission), the applicant will be sent a sticker letter IMM5740, requesting a passport within 30 days. If the applicant is still staying in Canada for more than a month, he or she can mail the passport to Ottawa and will send a Visa passport back in a few weeks. If the applicant is already outside of Canada, or if you have to leave Canada in less than 30 days, you can send a letter and passport to the Visa Center after leaving Canada (our Shanghai office provides free registration service for customers) ), it is also generally sent back to the passport in about 2 weeks. If the applicant leaves Canada at just 30 or so, the domestic passport cannot be returned on time, and the overseas sticker is afraid of not meeting the deadline. You can send an email to extend the labeling period. Visa’s service reference in our territory continues to be in Visa.
The second type is for people outside of Canada. In this case, you can apply for Visa on paper and submit the Visa application form and supporting materials directly to the Visa Center. Because the visa requirements of the visa center are cumbersome, we recommend to go to the visa center in person, or simply find us. At present, the foreign Visa we represent can be obtained in about one week.
Please note that both methods are only applicable to applicants who study well, do not have a subject or leave school. If you are a problem student, it is recommended not to leave (do not need Visa in Canada), or get Visa and leave. If it is really not good to study, but also to run and run, it is not completely impossible, we have a wealth of experience in dealing with such cases.
