MEDICAL EXAMS
What does it check?
Blood test, urine test, vision, height and weight, blood pressure, chest X-ray (X-ray), simple physical examination, medical history inquiry.
The physical examination of the child will reduce some items, mainly for physical examination. If the pregnant woman chooses not to have a chest, she may request an extension from the immigration office, and then complete the chest after the production, but it will affect the progress of the application.
Is there a problem with my medical examination?
Myopia, color blindness, less severe diabetes, less severe hypertension, liver virus carryover (without severely affecting liver function), HIV carry (AIDS has not yet occurred), cancer that has been cured (less likely to recur within 5 years) Application.
Tuberculosis and other diseases with high risk of infection need to be cured before passing the medical examination.
In 2018, the Department of Immigration relaxed the requirements for medical examinations. Disability without continuous medical care (social services only) did not affect applications, and the threshold for “heavy burdens” on medical or social services in Canada also tripled. The possibility that the application cannot be passed because of the medical examination is now very small.
What kind of application requires medical examination?
For the first time, applying for a student visa or a work permit requires a medical examination. If you apply for a super visa, you need a medical examination. If you apply for immigration, you need a medical examination.
If you apply for a study, work permit or extension in Canada or at the border, the criteria for processing vary, usually
- If the previous medical examination has been carried out, the domestic application for extension usually does not require a physical examination. For example, if the student is transferred after graduation, usually no physical examination is required.
- If the first application in the territory stays for more than 6 months, it usually requires a medical examination (sometimes it will be missed). After the medical examination letter is issued, it will usually be signed the next day. At this time, the applicant should still participate in the medical examination as required.
- Sometimes apply for a work permit but do not engage in sensitive occupations (educational industry, medical industry, farm operations) do not need physical examination, but if you want to engage in such work, you should take the initiative to check.
