CUSTODIANSHIP

A minor’s application for a study requires a guardian’s statement. When the applicant continues to sign the size, if the applicant is not yet an adult, a guardian’s statement is required.
The guardian must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. The guardian cannot be away from the child and the school. The guardian only provides the necessary arrangements and handles urgent matters. For example, some documents required by the school to be signed by the parents can be signed by the guardian, and the guardian is not responsible. Student learning, etc.
Parents accompanying students in Canada may not need a guardian, but in practice, a guardian statement is required unless the parent holds a student or work permit.

How to define minors

Each province in Canada has a different definition of minors, specifically under 18 years of age and in schools in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec or Saskatchewan Guardianship statements are required in the province, or under the age of 19 and in a school in BC, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut or Yukon Territory.
The age is based on the time of study. For example, when the child is a visa, the adult is not yet adult, but it is expected to be an adult when starting school.

Where to find a guardian

If a relative is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is in the same city as the school where the child is attending, it is best to find a relative as a guardian. If the student lives in a relative’s home, he or she can take care of the necessary study and life.
In order to provide convenience to international students, high school usually allows the principal to serve as the guardian of the student and charge a fee. Some schools require that the school arrange accommodation to find the guardian designated by the school. The fee ranges from 300 Canadian dollars to 1500 Canadian dollars.
Homestay is usually also the guardian of the student.
If none of the above applies, the new generation provides cost-effective guardian services in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.

Notary method

The first page of the guardian’s form needs to be filled out and printed. The Canadian guardian will sign the notary at the notary public in Canada (Notary Pulic). Usually, the law firm and the municipal government have notarized qualifications.
The second page of the guardian’s form needs to be filled out and printed. The legal guardian (usually the parent) of the student will sign the notarization at the notary office in person, and some notaries will need to translate the form before they can be notarized.
