TRANSIT CANADA

Transit Canada to the United States (not overnight), usually does not require a visa, please ask the airline and customs for more detailed information. In other cases, you may need to apply for a transit visa.
Generally speaking, the transit visa is exempt from the application fee, valid for a single time, and the entry is for a 7-day stay.

Visa list

  • Complete the Temporary Resident Visa Application Form (IMM 5257). An application form is required for each applicant and each accompanying child. Children who are 18 years of age or older must complete and sign their respective application forms.
  • Applicants and each accompanying family member who is at least 18 years of age and older complete the Family Information Form (IMM 5707).
  • The applicant and each accompanying family member who is at least 18 years of age and older complete the education and employment details form.
  • If you have an agent, you should fill out the agent information form (IMM 5476), please refer to the information about the agent.
  • Two photos that match the photo requirements. Name and date of birth are indicated after each photo.
  • A valid passport. The passport must contain at least one full page of blank pages except the last page and must be valid for at least six months prior to the trip.
  • A copy of the ticket and/or travel itinerary. Please indicate the number of times you will enter Canada and the corresponding date for each entry and exit.
  • A valid visa for the final destination country, if applicable.
  • Past travel proof (if passport, etc.)
  • If you are employed, use an employer-signed leave letter bearing the company’s letterhead and include the following information:
  • The applicant’s name, position, current income and date of commencement;
  • The full name and address of the employer, as well as the telephone and fax numbers.
