Parents go to Canada to have three ways to visit relatives, super visas and parents to reunite.
Ordinary Visit Visa
Ordinary visas for visiting relatives for up to 10 years (3 months before the validity of the passport), multiple round trips, can stay for half a year for each entry, and can be renewed once every year for one year. However, it is recommended not to continue, because the continuation will affect the next entry, the safe way is to re-enter the country once.
The standard for issuing a visa for visiting relatives is no different from other visitor visas. The first is to look at the information of the inviter. The information the student can provide is the transcript and proof of attendance. A good grade is of course beneficial to parents.
However, the most important thing for a relative visa is the applicant information. For example, whether the parents have jobs in the country, have property, are binding (such as a mother visa, father is in the country), have had an exit history before, and so on.
There is a relatively good sign called “Graduation Ceremony”. For students who are studying undergraduate or master’s degree, they can try to apply for a visa for their parents. The importance of the graduation ceremony is self-evident. Parents can’t participate in the regrets. The visa officer also I hope to be able to be beautiful. Once it has come down, it has been effective for 10 years, and it is easy to visit relatives later.
Super Visa
Super visas are also for up to 10 years, multiple round trips, but can stay for two years for each entry.
If the general visitor visa mainly depends on the applicant, then the super visa mainly depends on the inviter. The supervisor’s auditing standards are more similar to immigration. There are few factors that the visa officer can control. As long as the following requirements can be met:
- The inviter is already a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Inviting people to meet certain requirements in the previous year, such as single-guarantee parents (3 people) need annual income of more than 36,000, married one child to guarantee that both parents (7 people) need both parties to have an annual income of more than 62,000, if both parties Have work, this is not high;
- The inviter buys medical insurance for the applicant;
- The applicant passes the medical examination.
Parent Reunion
The Super Visa can stay for two years for each entry. It is reasonable to say that the length of stay is enough, but the parents still have some inconveniences:
- You need to apply for a study permit for more than half a year of study;
- can not work;
- can not enjoy all kinds of benefits, especially medical benefits.
Applying for parental reunion can solve this problem. Although parents can’t get pensions after 20 years of immigration (requires child support), other treatments are no different from permanent residents in Canada, such as medical care, employment, residents’ courtesy, etc. Can apply for naturalization.
Parents’ reunion has suffered many ups and downs in recent years. The large number of cases accumulated in previous years have not yet been completed. It is expected that the backlog of 75% will be processed in 2015, and the remaining backlog may have to be tried for 2-3 years. In January 2014, 5,000 new employees were opened, and the application standard was significantly higher than before, but the quota was used up within one month. After that, the direction of the reunion of the parents is at least, until at least all the immigration cases have been processed in 2016, and the immigration department will not know until it is lightly loaded.
According to the newly opened 5,000-person policy in 2014, the reunion of parents is also a requirement for the guarantor:
- In the past three years, the annual income must meet certain requirements. For example, a single-guarantee parent (3 persons) needs an annual income of more than 47,000. A married child has a guarantee that both parents (7) need a total income of more than 80,000 yuan;
- Agree to guarantee the parents’ basic expenses for at least 20 years;
- Parents pass physical examinations, no criminal records, etc.
At present, the parents’ reunion of immigration is very serious. It is a common matter to hear for five years. Even some visa offices estimate a 10-year schedule. However, the Immigration Department is working hard to improve this situation and try to reduce the progress of the case to less than half a year.
