Students must remember to change to Study Permit for the first time they enter the country! Originally we thought this was common sense, but one thing that happened recently made us feel that it is necessary to inform all customers to remember to apply for Study Permit at the Immigration Department.
Student W, under the age of 18, went to the York Education Bureau Bur Oak. When I entered the country, I didn’t know if no one reminded her to apply for Study Permit or did she not hear it clearly. After passing the border inspection (CBSA), she went directly to the customs. The immigration office changed to Study Permit. When I arrived at the school, I found out that this was a problem.
Our Toronto office took students to the airport to find the immigration office and didn’t let in. I told the situation through a walkie-talkie and let the students go to the US-Canada border. We explained the situation. The other person asked about the date of entry and the age of the child, and said that they would not do it lazily.
So I had to take the students to the nearest Rainbow Bridge in the US-Canada border, and it took about 3 hours to get back and forth. The speed was very fast, and I got Study Permit in 10 minutes.
