SIMPLIFIED STUDENT VISA

If you are willing to purchase a $10,000 Guaranteed Investment (GIC) as the first year of study abroad and pay a one-year tuition fee, you will be able to take the simplified category. The simplified category includes several official projects, the Post-secondary program (with GIC) for submitting a guaranteed investment certificate, the Primary & Secondary Program (with GIC) for submitting a guaranteed investment certificate, and the Student Cooperation Program ( SPP) and Learning Direct Entry (SDS).

Refusal risk

Historical experience shows that the simplified category simply does not require the provision of overly complex funding materials, but does not diminish the impact of adverse factors such as backward reading and ageing on visas. Even with simplified student visas, applicants over the age of 30 will increase exponentially as they age. We strongly recommend that older or reversed applicants choose a travel signing program.
Once the visa is refused, you can apply for a refund of the Guaranteed Investment (GIC) with the refusal letter, and you can also apply for the school to refund the prepaid tuition fee. The school may deduct a small amount of management fees (usually less than 500 Canadian dollars), and the bank will deduct the remittance fee.

Applicant for school change

If the applicant intends to attend the A school but uses the notice from the B school to apply for a visa, it will directly violate the provisions of Article 40 of the Immigration Law regarding misrepresentation. The visa officer learned that the applicants have generally operated this way for many years, so they began to ask the applicant to pay the tuition fee.

If the applicant still insists on changing the school, the recovery of the secured investment will not be affected. The policy of refunding fees varies from school to school, but usually it will deduct a much higher management fee than the refusal. Some schools only support the transfer of tuition fees to new schools after deducting management fees, and cannot return them directly to applicants. Tuition fees also face cumbersome procedures and long periods of time.
